Got lost...attempting to go shopping

Subject: Got lost...attempting to go shopping Tue Oct 06, 2009 12:39 am

Koehven sighed loudly, her blue eyes darting around trying to figure out her last taken path. "Damn it...this rock looks familiar, so does this dog, and this root."

It was just like her to get lost running a simple task of grocery shopping for her dad. Why had she bothered to do this? Oh Yea the guilt for not being around very much, and look at where it had gotten her.

She shielded her eyes from the blazing sun, wishing she had thought of wearing a hat, before wiping the sweat and moist red tendrils of hair from the back of her neck. Glancing over the area she had ended up in again she slowly recognized where she was. Wasn't this the Front gate? How in the hell did she get here?

"Hm maybe I can ask someone for help?" Scanning the almost deserted street she spotted someone near the entrance sitting at a table. Neh isn't that Mino's cousin? Maybe he can help or at least get Minoushje to come get me.

"Go Fish!!" Izumo called.
This time of the day was always boring and Kotetsu had suggested to play a game of cards.

He looked up and saw a girl standing, looking very lost. Immediately he recognized the bright red curls.
"Koe? What are you doing?" He asked surprised.

Koe smiled brightly at the two males before her. "I got lost." Her voice was soft and her gaze could not meet the others.

"I was going to go get some groceries for Otousan and I guess I made a wrong turn somewhere back there...and now.." She trailed off blinking slowly up at the sky before flashing a huge eye closed grin. "I must be the most directionally challenged Ninja huh? Can't even find my way in my home town."

Izumo just stood there grinning like the idiot he is.
"I could show you the way if you want."

Koehven was a bit taken back by how eager the male was to help her. Not that he was known to be cold or anything it was just that they didn't know each other as well as some. "Really I don't want to be a bother."

She failed to miss the slight frown her response had made. A deep breath and a swipe of the sweat from her neck she gave him a small smile. "But if you want I would greatly appreciate it. That is if it's ok to leave the gate...I don't want you to get in trouble with Tsunade-oba."

"Oh I'm sure Kotetsu doesn't mind me leaving for a bit. He does it all the time." Izumo said casually as he walked to Koehven. "The grocery store is this way."

Opening his eyes a bit, Kotetsu blinked slightly. "...Wait, what are you doing and why?" He asked, glancing over at Koe, his eyes widening a bit. "And...no." He muttered, 'Damn...he's taking the set up right out from under us...'

"But still! Eh..." Kotetsu paused, sighing a bit. "Fine...take her out to eat or something...make sure she gets home." He said, making a small shooing motion with his hands and then placing them behind his head.

Koe stood there silently watching the banter exchange between the two friends concerning escorting her. She was beginning to think this was how cows felt when farmer's were deciding which to send off to the slaughter. "Um I-" She could barely get a word in with these two. Sighing she lifted her gaze to anything but the two males until they had finally come to some sort of arrangement. Her ears perked at the suggestion of food...damn she was hungry until she remembered a slight problem.

Her eating habits were as one might put it, Ino that is, those of a Neanderthal. She surely did not want to embarrass herself in front of Roy and Mino's family member, she would never live it down. "NO...I mean um you don't have to do any of that, Just helping me find the Grocer is enough really. I don't want to be a burden."

Yeah that didn't sound frantic and Pathetic at all.

Kotetsu coughed a bit, standing and walking over to Izumo. "Hey...idiot. Walk with her...shoo!" He said, pushing Izumo into Koehven a bit. A grin was on his face as he walked back to his seat, plopping down and sighing. "Long and tiring day..."

Koe proceeded to turn bright red as the male was pushed into her. Because seriously who wouldn't if they had that hard muscle mass pressing into their skin. Koe seriously needed to stop listening when Kakashi read parts of her Dad's book out loud, just to annoy her she might add.

Izumo instinctively took hold of Koe's arm to prevent her from falling over.
"Sorry about that." He said after which he looked over his shoulder to send a glare at his supposedly best friend.

"Shall we go?" He asked as he scratched the back of his head, a habit he had when being nervous. "The grocery store is actually... uhh... on the other side of town."

As they started walking Izumo decided it might be smart to start a conversation.
"So... uhh... where've you been all this time, I haven't seen you in years."

Koehven smiled softly, what was she supposed to tell him? She was security for an organization that molests an Akatsuki member? "Umm not much I can say. Just traveling around learning about new weapons and such. What about you? Besides watching the gate and all." She blushed lightly. It had been awhile since she had been in the accompany of a male, besides Kakashi and her dad.

Izumo shrugged his shoulders.
"It's been real quiet in Konoha so I just have been... hanging around I guess... it's nice to see people coming back home after such a long time."

((Seriously, I never talk to guys... besides the friends of my brothers who are weird... so I majorly suck at guy-talk... *is frustrated*))

"it is nice to see everyone again. It had been awhile since I had seen Dad and Kashashi so that was nice." She looked up at the building they had come to. "Ah we made it, no let's see." She took out a piece of paper and scanned over the items, turning bright red as she saw what her dad had put on his to get list.

Koehven quickly hid the list behind her back. She didn't want Izumo to the she was some kind of perverted freak. "Umm really..I-i-it's ok I th-i-nk I go-t it."

((Yeah my Fiance James loves his computer a lot too..sometimes more than me heheh. He is a genius when it comes to fixing them though so it's ok! ugh got to make the man some coffee..hahah i'm being nice today. Yeah waking up to the sound of Porn will really scare the crap out of you!))

Koe looked away. Man this was embarrassing. "Really I can get all that stuff anf the food myself you don't have to bother." Inside she was glad he hadn't run away yet. Key word yet they always do.

He stepped towards the door and held it open for her.
"Ladies first." He said smiling.

He wasn't one to be scared away easily... or give up.

Koe blinked..he wasn't running ~~fleeing for his life~~?"Thank you Izumo." His name was said softly almost as if she didn't want to scare him away. "Let's see let's get the food first..Oh I know!" She slammed her fist into her palm in a sound of satisfaction. "How about I cook for you as a sign of my gratitude." She turned around, her pale yellow dress swishing behind her as well as her curls springing around her head, a small smile growing even bigger.
