He nodded, walking over to the bed and laying down next to Roy, "I'm glad you and her get along. It makes it easier on me."

"Cause if not, one of us would...I would make you choose either to hang out with me...or hang out with her. Not both." Roy said, grinning a bit and lightly smacking his stomach. "But I don't think I could ever..not like her." She said, wondering if it came out the way she wanted it to.

Shikamaru nodded, "Even though she's really shy, a lot of people like her attitude. She's nice to everyone even if she doesn't really like them, so I guess I can see why you like her. But, for me, I find I love her more when she's still smiling even after tellig people about her father."

Roy paused for a moment, "...Her father? What happened?" She asked, glancing over at him.

"Well, the reason she lives here with us is because her father...he's a violent drunk. And he didn't want a daughter, so he'd go out and drink, then come home and hit her for not being the son he wanted." Shikamaru scowled, "She deserved much better than that man...so I took her away and made her move in with me here."

He sighed, "She doesn't look like that happened to her, though, does she? She hasn't let him affect her life now."

Roy gasped a bit and put her hand over her mouth. "That's...horrible. Where the hell is he right now?" She asked, narrowing her eyes a bit.

"She...came out better than one would think..." She added, smiling a bit at the end.

"He's living in a bar some where...I haven't seen him, and I haven't allowed her to see him since I took her in. He does't deserve to see her happy ater all of these years." He then smiled, "She turned out a lot better than she should have...and that's because she's smart. She knew t wouldn't be a good idea to hold on to wht her father did to her, so she let it go past her, and looked forward instead of backward."

Roy cracked her neck a bit, "She...She's just an amazing, happy girl. And it needs to stay like that. Alrighty...After the nap of justice...I'm gonna head out for a while...alright?" She said, smiling a bit.

He yawned, "Where you going?" He rolled onto his side looking at Roy.

Roy narrowed her eyes, "That's for me to know...and you to not find out." She said, stretching out and glancing at him. Sitting up, she scratched the back of her head and grinned, plopping back, pushing Shikamaru on his back and lying her head on his chest. "Heheh..yah~"

He yawns, putting his arm around Roy, "Just don't get into trouble, alright? I don't want to go running after you. Running just isn't my thing."

Roy grins, "I know...you dun have to worry about me. Come on...I've got my puppets still~" She said, closing her eyes and yawning slightly. "...Plus, when you run, you look funny." She said, laughing a bit.

Roy opened her eyes a bit, patting around for something, "Wait...wait...ah ha!" She said, pulling an unused pillow to her, hugging it. "...This is making up for my lack of plushies that I didn't bring with me.."

Roy frowns a bit and opens her eyes, rubbing at them. "Well shit...the sun is setting and glaring at my face!" She said, chucking the pillow at the window. "...Meh."
